In loving memory of our beloved father, Kurjibhai Kantaria and during his first Purnyatithi, we want to have our very first fundraising event! We want to walk in his shoes for a cause and continue his great work of helping ones in need.
During October 13 - 26, 2020, Sankara Family Foundation would like to continue to work towards a cause that our father was involved with in helping unprivileged kids education. We’d like to partner with you to hold a virtual 5K Walk/Run and two online yoga sessions are also being offered for free those who'd like to join.
How does our virtual 5k Walk/Run Work?
Once you decide to be park of virtual 5k, you have from October 13th until October 26th to complete your steps.
You can go out and run the distance you sign up for all at once or you can track your steps at work, or you can hop on the treadmill and track your distance that way. To make it simple for this initial event, we are taking your word so no need to submit proof of the distance. Feel free to share enthusisam or accompliments. The 5k Walk/Run doesn't only benfit the charity but also your health, so whether you actually walk, run or not, your thought and effort goes towards a good cause!

Registration is free.
We want to promote our health and well being as well as raise funds to help those in need. All are welcome to join for FREE but for those who can please donate as little or as much as you can. We are planning to donate 5 Lakhs Rs (about $7000) to Hope Welfare Foundation. The funds will be applied to underprivileged kids education. The amount raised will be matched by Sankara Family Foundation. Our goal for this event is to raise $3500.
